He hails from the parish of Trelawny, a people person, a practicing believer of Jesus Christ who embodies the philosophy; “If I can help somebody as I pass along, then my living shall not be in vain”. He is married with two children. Dr. Smith attended Church Teachers’ College, Jamaica Theological Seminary, Caribbean Graduate School of Theology, and California Southern University. He holds a diploma in Spanish, a bachelor’s degree in Guidance and Counselling, and two master’s degrees, one in Theology and the other in Counselling Psychology. He holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University.  He has a keen interest in treating persons suffering from caregiver burden.

He is also the founder and one of the directors of Love & Restoration Ministries- LARM (A REGISTERED CHARITY AND NON–PROFIT, NON-DENOMINATIONAL ORGANIZATION). He is a Minister of Religion, a marriage officer, a Justice of the Peace, and a Motivational Speaker. He is also the regional coordinator for The Jamaican Psychological Society Southern Region. He is the Director for Leadership and Teacher Development at Church Teachers’ College in Mandeville. He has a private practice in Mandeville, Manchester, and Santa Cruz, St, Elizabeth. He has over 15 years of clinical experience.
