Djavila Ho, MSc

Djavila Ho is a licensed Associate Clinical Psychologist who has been in clinical practice for over 10 years. She is presently the University Counsellor at the Caribbean Maritime University and works in private practice. She has worked at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital (VJH) and Kingston Public Hospital (KPH) and as a research and practicum supervisor for local university students. She was the Director of Membership for the Jamaican Psychological Society (JamPsych) for 3 years and co-chair of the Scientific Committee for the Conference Organizing Committee (COC) for Caribbean Regional Conference of the Caribbean (CRCP) in Kingston, Jamaica in 2018.
Her interests include adolescent and adult mental health care, the equity of access to affordable, quality and accessible mental health care, trauma & stress related disorders and mood disorders. Djavila is an International Affiliate member of the American Psychological Association (APA) amongst other international professional societies and is the current Vice President of the Jamaican Psychological Society.
