
Course Description:
Celebrating the Season with Meaningful Connections: Suicide Awareness explores the important role that connection, compassion, and community play in supporting mental well-being during seasonal and holiday periods. While celebrations can bring joy, they may also intensify feelings of loneliness, grief, stress, or isolation for some individuals. This course provides participants with a foundational understanding of suicide awareness, including common warning signs, risk factors, protective factors, and effective ways to offer support. Learners will develop practical skills for fostering meaningful connections, engaging in supportive conversations, and accessing appropriate resources when concerns arise. Through education and awareness, participants will be empowered to help create a culture of care, inclusion, and hope during the holiday season and beyond.
